Class quilt

Took a class for these blocks. The teacher worked with templates and did a lot of fussy cutting. I was  determined to do at least one of every block. Got it all together and finally saw the error in one of the blocks, I hope everyone thinks I did this on purpose. One of my goals this year is to finish projects that I have previously started. I finally got the hanging sleeve on this one.

Add a border to a block Bee

Today I worked on the two blocks I recieved and added my borders on them. The names of the block are Pink off Center and Starry night.

Yesterday was busy. Had to take grandson to orthodontist, then home so he could start his behind the wheel driving instruction. Last night he had to go to the school for a football meeting. I didn't get much sewing done but did start my block for the "Orange you glad to bee" Flickr group.

Round Robin

I worked on my Round Robin quilt today. I got it all pinned and ready to quilt.

I also had to go shopping today and splurged and bought a new Sony camera.

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to go to garage sales. I had a very good day. A lady was cleaning out her sewing room so I was able to buy lots of fabric and a roll of batting. I also found a great storage rack for my sewing room.

Today I spent most of the day seeing doctors. Sounds like I am going to have  open heart surgery quite soon. Bummer. When I got home today I created two 6.5 inch blocks for my flicker friends at Add a border to a block Bee.

I finished my queen size tree quilt today then I used the leftover blocks for a wall hanging and a table runner. My grandson got back from Washington D.C. today. 10 th grade class trip. Sounds like he had a ball.He bought souveniers for all of us out of his own money. He starts behind the wheel driving on Monday. I'm not looking forward to this but he keeps telling me he is a good driver. We will see.

Today I have been working on my Christmas quilt. It is a real easy block using 10 inch squares and a stack and whack type pattern.

I recently joined a couple quilting Bees on Flickr and I am really looking forward to this new challenge. I am also trying to learn how to blog.
